Toddlers

18 months – 36 months

Our goal at Pumpkin Patch is to make each child feel valued and secure in their relationships, to make them feel proud of that they can do, and to help them express their independence.

We teach children to communicate with a broad range of emotions through gestures, sounds, and eventually words. They learn to express their feelings in appropriate ways. They develop relationships with nurturing adults and demonstrate caring and cooperation.

They focus on solving problems encountered in exploration and play. Learning about thinking skills is a valuable aspect of our toddler rooms. Each child will gain an understanding of basic concepts and relationships. They will be able to apply knowledge to new situations. They will also be able to develop strategies for solving problems.

Our toddlers will learn by moving and doing. They will develop gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and age-appropriate self-help skills.
